Long Covid / Chronic Respiratory Diseases
We have all heard about Chronic respiratory diseases (CRDs) affect the airways and other structures of the lungs. Some of the most common are chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, occupational lung diseases and pulmonary hypertension. In addition to tobacco smoke, other risk factors include air pollution, occupational chemicals and dusts, and frequent lower respiratory infections during childhood.
Nowadays some people are also dealing with Long Covid;
Some people who have been infected with the virus that causes COVID-19 can experience long-term effects from their infection, known as post-COVID conditions (PCC) or long COVID.
The most common symptoms of long COVID are:
extreme tiredness (fatigue)
shortness of breath
loss of smell
However, there are lots of symptoms you can have after a COVID-19 infection, including:
problems with your memory and concentration ("brain fog")
chest pain or tightness
difficulty sleeping (insomnia)
pins and needles
depression and anxiety
feeling sick, diarrhoea, stomach aches, loss of appetite
a high temperature, cough, headaches, sore throat, changes to sense of smell or taste
In my practice I have many people coming to me with a variety of the above symptoms. They find great relief with the sessions that we have together.
Gentle Release Therapy and Craniosacral Therapy help release any restrictions and move stuck energy in the body in a very much non-invasive way.
I have some regular clients who come back to me informing me that her symptoms were relieved after the last treatment.
It is humbling to be able to support people on their journey to recovery.
